Perum Jamkrindo achieved positive performance in 2018. Based on the audited financial report for 2018, the guarantee volume of Perum Jamkrindo reached IDR 174.74 trillion, with a pre-tax profit of IDR 508.3 billion. These figures surpassed the 2018 Work Plan and Budget (RKAP), which targeted a guarantee volume of IDR 156.6 trillion and a pre-tax profit of IDR 343 billion.

In 2018, the financial statements of Perum Jamkrindo were adjusted to comply with the latest regulations, in accordance with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Circular Letter No. S-129/D.05/2017 dated August 29, 2017, regarding the recording of guarantee fees. According to this regulation, guarantee fee recording for KUR (People’s Business Credit) is done on a monthly accrual basis.

Perum Jamkrindo’s President Director, Randi Anto, stated that for 2019, Perum Jamkrindo aims to maintain business continuity by focusing on growth to optimize capacity effectively and efficiently. In 2019, Perum Jamkrindo targets a guarantee volume of IDR 182.36 trillion, an increase of 16.5% from the 2018 RKAP target of IDR 156.6 trillion. "We are optimistic that we can achieve this guarantee volume target," he said during a press conference at the Jamkrindo Head Office on Tuesday, March 5, 2019.

To achieve this target, several strategies are being prepared, including strengthening human resource competencies, automating business processes by enhancing operational management systems, developing value-added products, and boosting market penetration through various innovations and synergistic initiatives with business partners.

For instance, in 2019, Perum Jamkrindo plans to implement the latest innovation in guarantee services by introducing the Marketplace Guarantee (MPG), which can create a captive guarantee market through the company's role as a supplier of a database of eligible MSMEs for credit and guarantee to guarantee recipients.

With the enactment of Government Regulation No. 35 of 2018 regarding the role of Perum Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Perum Jamkrindo) in mid-last year, Randi stated that its positive impact will be more evident in 2019. This regulation allows Jamkrindo to extend guarantees beyond MSMEs and cooperatives, including through state-owned enterprise (SOE) synergies. "In 2018, we already provided guarantees for SOEs, both infrastructure and non-infrastructure. We hope that in 2019, we can be even more aggressive, but our main focus remains on serving MSMEs and cooperatives," Randi added.
