Provide Support for the Distribution of People's Fisheries KUR

Perum Jamkrindo participated in the People’s Fisheries KUR (Credit for People's Businesses in the Fisheries Sector) distribution event at the Morodemak Port, Demak Regency, on Sunday, March 24, 2019. The event, attended by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Darmin Nasution, saw Perum Jamkrindo distribute its Partnership and Community Development Program (PKBL) assistance, which included training for santri (Islamic students), support for coffee stalls, freezer assistance for fishermen, training for grouper fish farming, ship winch machines, and other items.

The assistance was handed over directly by Perum Jamkrindo’s Business Guarantee Director, Amin Mas’udi, in Demak. In addition to Demak, Perum Jamkrindo also provided assistance in other locations such as Kendari, Cirebon, and Mataram, with a total value of Rp 119.7 million. "As a guarantor for KUR, Perum Jamkrindo remains committed to continuing to contribute to empowering MSMEs," said Amin.

Through its KUR guarantee efforts, Amin Mas'udi continued, Perum Jamkrindo aims to work together with stakeholders to ensure that MSMEs can play a significant role as the backbone of the national economy. "We are very enthusiastic to be involved in the simultaneous People’s Fisheries KUR event across six provinces," said Amin.

As is well known, the government has once again distributed People’s Fisheries KUR simultaneously in fishing and fish farming centers in six provinces. These six provinces are Central Java, West Java, East Java, South Sumatra, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), and Southeast Sulawesi.

The fisheries sector has been one of the people's economic sectors that has received a special KUR scheme since 2015, alongside the plantation and livestock sectors. As of February 2019, the national distribution of KUR for the fisheries sector reached Rp 5.2 trillion to 220,000 debtors.
