DENPASAR – Perum Jamkrindo held its Safari Ramadan in 10 cities throughout the month of Ramadan 1440 H. On Thursday, May 23, 2019, the Safari Ramadan event was held in Denpasar, Bali, with activities including visits to business partners, distribution of essential food packages, and donations to orphaned children.

Prior to Denpasar, Safari Ramadan had been conducted in Banjarmasin, Yogyakarta, Pekanbaru, Kendari, Surabaya, Bandung, and Palembang. On the same day, the Safari Ramadan was also held in Malang, East Java. Through this event, Perum Jamkrindo aimed to share blessings with communities in various regions.

Perum Jamkrindo President Director, Randi Anto, explained that Safari Ramadan is a routine event every Ramadan. Its goal is to bring Perum Jamkrindo closer to the community and strengthen relationships with business partners. Through Safari Ramadan, Perum Jamkrindo, which is primarily engaged in guarantee business, seeks to connect with and share with the community, in line with the BUMN (State-Owned Enterprises) program "BUMN Hadir untuk Negeri" (BUMN Present for the Nation).

Safari Ramadan also demonstrates Perum Jamkrindo's commitment to maintaining good relations with all parties, including the community, and encouraging productive activities within it. This effort aligns with Perum Jamkrindo's core business of providing credit guarantees for Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises, and Cooperatives (UMKMK).

After the events in Malang and Denpasar, Safari Ramadan will continue in Serang, Banten. "Perum Jamkrindo is focused on managing its business for the company's sustainability. However, we also take the time to connect directly with the community," said Randi Anto.

The Director of HR, General Affairs, and Compliance at Perum Jamkrindo, Sulis Usdoko, attended the Safari Ramadan in Denpasar to visit Bank BPD Bali, break fast together, and distribute donations to the children of the Al-Ittihad Orphanage.

Sulis Usdoko explained that the donation to orphaned children reflects Perum Jamkrindo's direct care for the community. Perum Jamkrindo not only focuses on business performance but also strives to implement programs that provide tangible benefits to society.

"We hope that this assistance will be beneficial to the recipients, and that the relationship between Perum Jamkrindo, its business partners, and the community will continue to strengthen," said Sulis Usdoko.

The caretaker of the Al-Ittihad Orphanage, Hamzah, expressed gratitude for the donations from Perum Jamkrindo, noting that it would be beneficial for the children. "We thank you for the support given to the children of the orphanage. May this bring blessings to all of us," said Hamzah.

The Safari Ramadan and donation distribution activities are part of Perum Jamkrindo's broader efforts to commemorate its 49th anniversary on July 1, 2019. Following the launch of the company's 49th anniversary celebrations last week, various activities will continue until the peak of the celebration.

Regarding business performance, Perum Jamkrindo recorded a guarantee volume of Rp 64.237 trillion in April 2019, including Rp 18.126 trillion from People's Business Credit (KUR) and Rp 46.111 trillion from non-KUR guarantees. The guarantee volume in April 2019 grew 7.5% compared to April 2018.

Sulis Usdoko noted that non-KUR guarantees now account for a larger portion of the volume compared to KUR guarantees. Going forward, the company will continue to prioritize non-KUR guarantees.

"While we continue to support and implement government programs like KUR, Perum Jamkrindo also needs to develop its non-program business. We have made efforts in this direction for several years, and the results are now becoming evident, with a significant increase in non-program guarantee volumes," said Sulis.

Meanwhile, the Head of Perum Jamkrindo’s Regional Office VII, Sugiyono, reported that in the first quarter of 2019, the volume of guarantees for Regional Office VII reached Rp 1.715 trillion, a 2.57% increase compared to Rp 1.671 trillion in the first quarter of 2018. "The guarantee business in Regional Office VII remains promising, in line with the healthy economic climate," said Sugiyono.
