In Malang, Perum Jamkrindo Holds Safari Ramadan

MALANG – Perum Jamkrindo carried out its Safari Ramadan in 10 cities throughout Ramadan 1440 H. On Thursday, May 23, 2019, the Safari Ramadan took place in Malang, East Java, with activities including visits to business partners, the distribution of staple food packages, and donations for orphaned children.

Prior to the event in Malang, Safari Ramadan had been held in Banjarmasin, Yogyakarta, Pekanbaru, Kendari, Surabaya, Bandung, and Palembang. The same day, the event was also held in Denpasar, Bali. Through this Safari Ramadan program, Perum Jamkrindo aimed to give back to communities in various regions.

Randi Anto, the President Director of Perum Jamkrindo, explained that the Safari Ramadan, which is a routine event held every Ramadan, aims to strengthen the connection between Perum Jamkrindo and the public, as well as to enhance relationships with business partners. Through Safari Ramadan, Perum Jamkrindo, which primarily engages in credit guarantee business, seeks to be closer to and share with the community as part of the BUMN Hadir untuk Negeri (State-Owned Enterprises Present for the Country) initiative.

The Safari Ramadan also serves as Perum Jamkrindo's commitment to maintaining good relationships with all parties, including the community, while encouraging productive activities. This aligns with Perum Jamkrindo's core business, which focuses on providing credit guarantees for Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises, and Cooperatives (UMKMK).

After the event in Malang and Denpasar, the Safari Ramadan will continue in Serang, Banten. "Perum Jamkrindo is indeed focused on managing business for the sustainability of the company, but we also take time to directly connect with the community," said Randi Anto.

Amin Mas'udi, the Director of Business Guarantee at Perum Jamkrindo, attended the Safari Ramadan event in Malang to visit business partners, share iftar meals, and distribute donations to orphans from the Zaul Chaq Orphanage.

Amin Mas’udi explained that the donations for orphaned children reflect Perum Jamkrindo's direct care for the community. Perum Jamkrindo is not just focused on business performance but is also committed to realizing programs that benefit the public.

"We hope that these donations will be useful to the recipients, and we also hope that the relationship between Perum Jamkrindo, its business partners, and the community will continue to thrive," said Amin Mas'udi.

Gus Zainul, the caretaker of the Zaul Chaq Orphanage, expressed gratitude for the assistance and donations. "We sincerely thank Perum Jamkrindo for the donations to the orphans. May this become a blessing for all of us," said Gus Zainul.

The Safari Ramadan and the distribution of assistance align with Perum Jamkrindo’s activities to celebrate its 49th anniversary on July 1. After launching its 49th anniversary celebrations the previous week, various events will be held leading up to the peak of the celebration.

In terms of business performance, Perum Jamkrindo reported a guarantee volume of IDR 64.237 trillion as of April 2019, consisting of IDR 18.126 trillion in guarantees for People's Business Credit (KUR) and IDR 46.111 trillion in non-KUR guarantees. The guarantee volume for April 2019 grew 7.5% compared to April 2018.

Amin Mas’udi noted that, in terms of composition, non-KUR guarantees now significantly exceed the volume of KUR guarantees. Moving forward, the non-KUR guarantee composition will be maintained at a higher level than the KUR guarantees.

"KUR guarantees are government program guarantees that we always support and implement as assigned. However, Perum Jamkrindo also needs to develop its non-program business. We’ve been working on this for several years, and the results are now showing, with the volume of non-program guarantees increasing," said Amin.

Meanwhile, Loesdarwanto, the Head of Perum Jamkrindo's Region VI, explained that as of April 2019, the volume of guarantees in Perum Jamkrindo's Region VI reached IDR 4.84 trillion, growing by 6.58% compared to April 2018. "The guarantee business in Region VI of Perum Jamkrindo remains promising, in line with a stable economic climate," Loesdarwanto concluded.
