SERANG – To close the Ramadan Safari series in 10 cities throughout the month of Ramadan 1440 H, on Monday, May 27, 2019, Perum Jamkrindo once again held a Ramadan Safari event in Serang City, Banten. The event included partner visits, the distribution of basic food packages, and charity donations for orphaned children.

Previously, the Ramadan Safari was held in 9 cities, including Malang, Banjarmasin, Yogyakarta, Pekanbaru, Kendari, Surabaya, Bandung, and Palembang, as well as in Denpasar, Bali. Through this Ramadan Safari, Perum Jamkrindo aimed to share with the community in various regions.

Randi Anto, President Director of Perum Jamkrindo, said that the Ramadan Safari, which is an annual event for Perum Jamkrindo every Ramadan, aims to bring Perum Jamkrindo closer to the community and strengthen ties with business partners. Through the Ramadan Safari, Perum Jamkrindo, which is primarily engaged in the guarantee business, wants to get closer to the community and share with them, as part of the BUMN Hadir untuk Negeri (SOEs Present for the Nation) program.

The Ramadan Safari also represents Perum Jamkrindo's commitment to maintaining good relations with all parties, including the community, and encouraging productive activities within society. This is in line with the core business of Perum Jamkrindo, which is credit guarantee services for Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises, and Cooperatives (UMKMK).

Following the events in Malang and Denpasar, the Ramadan Safari was held in Serang, Banten.

“Perum Jamkrindo is indeed engaged in business every day for the sustainability of the company. However, we also take the time to personally connect with the community,” said Randi Anto.

Amin Mas’udi, Director of Business Guarantee at Perum Jamkrindo, attended the Ramadan Safari in Malang to visit several partners and hold a joint iftar while distributing donations worth IDR 50 million to orphanages, including Yayasan Al Aziziyah, Yayasan Al-Kahfi, Yayasan Nurul Islam, YPDI Daar El-Ihsan, and Panti Asuhan Jauhari.

Amin Mas’udi explained that the orphanage donations are a direct form of Perum Jamkrindo's concern for the community. Perum Jamkrindo does not only focus on business performance but also continuously implements programs that directly benefit society.

“We hope that these donations are beneficial to the recipients and that the relationship between Perum Jamkrindo, business partners, and the community will continue to thrive,” said Amin Mas’udi.

Zaul Chaq, caretaker of the orphanage, Gus Zainul, expressed gratitude for the donations received. "We thank you for the donations for the orphaned children. May this be a blessing for all of us," said Gus Zainul.

The Ramadan Safari and community aid are part of Perum Jamkrindo’s activities leading up to the company's 49th Anniversary on July 1. After the launch of the 49th Anniversary celebration last week, various activities will be held leading up to the grand celebration.

In terms of business performance, Perum Jamkrindo recorded a guarantee volume of IDR 64.237 trillion as of April 2019, consisting of IDR 18.126 trillion in People’s Business Credit (KUR) guarantees and IDR 46.111 trillion in non-KUR guarantees. The guarantee volume for April 2019 grew by 7.5% compared to April 2018.

According to Amin Mas’udi, looking at the composition, non-KUR guarantees are now much larger compared to KUR guarantees. In the future, the composition of non-KUR guarantees will be maintained at a larger proportion than KUR guarantees.

“KUR guarantees are part of the government program that we always support and implement as assigned. However, Perum Jamkrindo also needs to develop non-program business. For several years now, we have been trying, and the results are starting to show, as the volume of non-program guarantees has grown significantly,” said Amin.

Meanwhile, Agus Supriadi, Regional Leader III of Jakarta for Perum Jamkrindo, explained that as of April 2019, the guarantee volume of Perum Jamkrindo's Regional Office III stood at IDR 13.7 trillion, which grew by 6% compared to April 2018. "The guarantee business in Region III of Perum Jamkrindo remains promising, in line with the well-maintained economic climate," said Agus Supriadi.
