To welcome the 2019 Eid homecoming (Mudik) season, Perum Jamkrindo sent off 1,700 participants of the Mudik Bareng BUMN 2019 using buses, trains, and ships to various locations in Indonesia, including Java, Sumatra, and Sulawesi. Perum Jamkrindo’s President Director, Randi Anto, said that the company is committed to facilitating a safe and comfortable mudik for the participants of Mudik Bareng BUMN 2019. "We hope that the mudik runs smoothly, and that the travelers experience comfort thanks to the synergy between BUMNs in supporting this program," said Randi Anto during the mudik release event at Perum Jamkrindo’s headquarters on Wednesday (May 29, 2019).
This year, Perum Jamkrindo sent off 500 participants using trains, 500 using ships, and 700 using buses. The mudik release ceremony was attended by the Deputy for Business Infrastructure of the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, Hambra Samal.
On May 30, 2019, a simultaneous Mudik Bareng BUMN release will take place, which is expected to be led by President Joko Widodo and Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Rini Soemarno at Gelora Bung Karno. Hambra Samal explained that 104 BUMNs participated in organizing Mudik Bareng BUMN 2019. They are ready to send off more than 250,000 travelers to various destination cities across the country.
"The public's response to the Mudik Bareng BUMN program has been very positive, as seen from the fulfillment of the free mudik quota," said Hambra.
Furthermore, Randi explained that the destinations for Perum Jamkrindo's free mudik program included Cirebon, Brebes, Tegal, Pekalongan, Semarang, Solo, Klaten, Yogyakarta, Malang, Madiun, Surabaya, Bumiayu, Purwokerto, Purbalingga, Kebumen, Kutoarjo, Purworejo, Padang, Belawan, Bau-bau, Makassar, and Bima. "With the many alternatives offered, we hope the public can be helped to return to their hometowns," said Randi.
This year, Perum Jamkrindo opened free mudik registration through the website mudikbumn.co.id from April 3, 2019, to April 30, 2019. Through this application, prospective travelers could register online easily, quickly, and comfortably. "Travelers can check their registration status directly and see the availability of quotas through the available website," said Randi.
In addition to the mudik program, during this Ramadan, Perum Jamkrindo also organized a series of social activities, including distributing free basic food packages and providing assistance to orphans. The distribution of food packages and donations to orphans was part of a series of social activities to celebrate the company’s 49th anniversary, which falls on July 1, 2019. The assistance was given in 10 cities: Banjarmasin, Yogyakarta, Pekanbaru, Kendari, Bandung, Palembang, Surabaya, Malang, Denpasar, and Serang, and was attended by the Board of Directors of Perum Jamkrindo. "A total of 4,000 free food packages were distributed, and 3,000 orphans were assisted," concluded Randi Anto.
