A total of 10 teams that reached the final stage of the Jamkrindo Hackathon Challenge (JHC) will participate in the Bootcamp Program and Hackathon Day to determine the winners of the 2019 Hackathon competition. This competition, with the theme “Smart Access Technology”, was held in celebration of Perum Jamkrindo’s 49th anniversary.
Perum Jamkrindo's President Director, Randi Anto, stated that this event was organized to capture the creativity of millennial youth skilled in programming and information technology development. “This competition is expected to increase market penetration in the digital ecosystem, which can then create new credit guarantee products for MSMEs, providing revenue and benefits for the company,” he said in a press release on Tuesday (9/7/2019).
The event's opening was attended by Kadar Wisnuwarman, Director of Operations and Network, Amin Mas'udi, Director of Guarantee Business, and I. Rusdonobanu, Director of Finance.
Kadar Wisnuwarman expressed hope that through this competition, new ideas would emerge to assist in the operational activities of Perum Jamkrindo. The participants advancing to the final stage were selected from roadshows in six cities: Surabaya, Yogyakarta, Depok, Jakarta, Semarang, and Bandung.
The Hackathon (a combination of hacking and marathon) is an event that brings together programmers, project managers, and ICT researchers/enthusiasts to build applications. A total of 153 programmers and developers registered, forming 40 teams. After the selection, 20 teams were chosen, and then narrowed down to 10 finalists, who were given the opportunity to proceed to the Jamkrindo Bootcamp Program and Hackathon Day. The 10 finalist teams are: Jepret, Bettfuu, Permanent Betadev, aFa, Tri Maskentir ,Market Link, Keep It Daily Hack Team, D’Ocean, SamiAsih, MAOS.
These finalists will showcase their skills in developing new features and technologies, particularly in the field of credit guarantees for MSMEs. They are expected to create alternative guarantee products, making it easier and faster for society, especially millennials in Indonesia, to access financing and credit guarantees for MSMEs.
The JHC consists of three competition categories: Corporate Activity, SME Tracking and Database Record, Marketing Force Monitoring.
These categories will compete for a prize of Rp 200,000,000. The opening and welcoming of the finalists were held at Perum Jamkrindo's Multi-Purpose Room on Tuesday, July 9, 2019. The Jamkrindo Bootcamp Program and Hackathon Day were then scheduled for July 10-12, 2019 at the Mercure Hotel Jakarta Batavia, Central Jakarta.
The Award Ceremony for the winners of the Jamkrindo Hackathon 2019 was held on the peak of Perum Jamkrindo’s 49th Anniversary on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at Allianz Ecopark.
The Head of the Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises Rating and Risk Management Division, Ceriandri Widuri, explained that the application development was done by individuals or groups (3-5 people). “JHC is an innovation movement by Perum Jamkrindo to continue improving services and the development of new digital-based products,” he said.
JHC is the first Hackathon competition in Indonesia with the theme Guarantee Technology, initiated by Perum Jamkrindo to develop new features and technology, particularly in credit guarantees for MSMEs. Through this competition, it is hoped that applications will emerge to support and accelerate services and guarantee products for MSMEs.
