In preparation for the 2020 Lebaran homecoming season, PT Jamkrindo (Persero) provided 1,800 tickets for travelers heading to several cities in Java, Sumatra, and Sulawesi using buses, trains, and ferries. Jamkrindo's President Director, Randi Anto, stated that this activity is part of the "BUMN Hadir Untuk Negeri" program initiated by the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) through BUMN synergies.

The BUMN Mudik (Homecoming) program reflects the role of BUMNs as agents of change, driven by the spirit of high-value collaboration to meet the public's needs during the Lebaran holidays. Registration for the program was available starting March 11, 2020, through the Mudik Bareng BUMN online system at the website mudikbumn.co.id.

"Through this program, we hope to provide convenience for people going home for Lebaran safely and happily," said Randi Anto in a press release on Wednesday, March 11, 2020.

Some of the destinations for the homecoming program include Yogyakarta, Semarang, Padang, Madiun, Purbalingga, Bojonegoro, and others. Jamkrindo also facilitated the homecoming with Tawang Jaya trains on the Jakarta-Semarang route.

In 2020, the Ministry of BUMN targeted to send 275,000 participants, a 10 percent increase compared to 2019, which had 250,000 participants. The transportation modes include buses, ferries, trains, and planes, with departure points spread across Indonesia. "This year, we are also designated as the PIC for the homecoming program in Gorontalo Province," said Randi.

The 2020 free homecoming program marked Jamkrindo's third year participating. In 2019, Jamkrindo sent 1,700 participants, while in 2018, 1,300 participants were sent. "We hope this year's homecoming will run smoothly and benefit the public," Randi concluded.
