JAKARTA – The list of guarantee companies eligible to guarantee People's Business Credit (KUR) disbursements by banks is expected to increase this year. Finance Minister Agus Martowardoyo signaled that PT Penjaminan Kredit Daerah (Jamkrida) Bali Mandara and PT Jamkrida Jatim will receive approval this year.
“It is still in process at Bapepam-LK, but clarity is expected this year,” he said on Tuesday (10/1).
Throughout 2011, the disbursement of KUR reached Rp29 trillion, a growth of 68.6% compared to Rp17.2 trillion in 2010. These loans were disbursed by state-owned banks such as BRI, Bukopin, Mandiri, and BNI.
Last year, only PT Penjaminan Kredit Indonesia (Jamkrindo) and PT Asuransi Kredit Indonesia (Askrindo) were eligible to guarantee these loans. Specifically, Jamkrindo guaranteed around Rp20.2 trillion, with the remaining amount guaranteed by Askrindo.
In 2012, at least 13 regional development banks (BPD) will be recommended by Bank Indonesia (BI) to disburse KUR. These include BPDs in NTT, South Sumatra, Bengkulu, Riau, Kepri, Lampung, East Kalimantan, South Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, North Sumatra, Bali, Jambi, Aceh, and Southeast Sulawesi. Additionally, BNI Syariah is also involved. For this reason, Agus said that having more guarantee companies for KUR is not a problem.
I Ketut Indra Satya Dharma Putra, Director of PT Jamkrida Bali Mandara, stated that they had applied for KUR disbursement authorization last year but are still awaiting the outcome. Nevertheless, Jamkrida Bali Mandara is ready if granted the authority to guarantee KUR disbursements in Bali.
“Essentially, we are ready if the BPD in Bali is declared eligible to disburse KUR,” Indra explained.
