Jamkrindo Continues to Support the Productivity of Cooperatives

PT Jamkrindo continues to strengthen its support for the advancement of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Cooperatives in Indonesia. On Monday, August 10, 2020, Jamkrindo signed two memorandums of understanding (MoUs) to improve the competitiveness and productivity of cooperatives through the strengthening of capital.

The first MoU was signed with the Cooperative, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (KUMKM) Fund Management Agency (LPDB-KUMKM) and PT Bhanda Ghara Reksa (Persero) or BGR Logistics. The second MoU was signed with LPDB-KUMKM and PT Perikanan Nusantara (Persero) or Perinus.

PT Jamkrindo’s President Director, Randi Anto, explained that in this collaboration, Jamkrindo will serve as the guarantor for the revolving fund management distributed by LPDB-KUMKM to cooperatives partnered with BGR Logistics and Perinus. He expressed hope that the working capital provided, guaranteed by Jamkrindo, would help cooperatives strengthen their capital and improve their business operations.

"The goal is that this working capital assistance will have a positive impact on the national economy," said Randi after the signing of the MoU at the BGR office on Monday, August 10, 2020.

In this cooperation, Jamkrindo aims to guarantee IDR 450 billion for BGR's cooperative partners and IDR 100 billion for Perinus's cooperative partners.

In addition to being active as a guarantor for the working capital distribution provided by LPDB-KUMKM, Jamkrindo has also actively provided credit guarantees for SMEs under the National Economic Recovery (PEN) program.

Through this program, it is expected that the economy can grow faster. The gradual recovery of economic activities is also expected to reopen job opportunities, thus absorbing a large workforce in both the formal and informal sectors.

To implement the PEN program, the government tasked Jamkrindo and Askrindo with executing the government guarantees for the program. If the guaranteed party requires a guarantee facility under a sharia scheme, the guarantee will be provided through Jamkrindo Syariah and Askrindo Syariah.

"2020 has been a dynamic year for the economy, especially in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. With the PEN program, it is hoped that SMEs can truly enjoy the benefits of working capital credit for the improvement of their businesses. This is very important because SMEs are the backbone of Indonesia's economy," said Randi.

PT Jamkrindo is a guarantee company that is currently a member of the Insurance and Guarantee Holding, with the parent company being PT Bahana Pembinaan Usaha Indonesia (Persero). As the largest guarantee company in Indonesia, PT Jamkrindo is committed to continuously providing guarantees for banking partners and non-bank financial institutions.
