PT Jamkrindo, through its Jamkrindo Peduli Program, has once again provided assistance in the fight against COVID-19 by donating N95 masks to Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) in Jakarta. The donation was handed over to the Head of Marketing & Business Partnership Division at RSCM, Dr. Henry Riyanto, Sp.S, on August 28, 2020.
Jamkrindo’s President Director, Randi Anto, stated that this assistance is part of their ongoing efforts in tackling COVID-19. Previously, Jamkrindo had distributed aid in the form of food packages, health support (complete personal protective equipment, ventilators, medical/non-medical masks, hand sanitizers), and educational aid for children of healthcare workers and people who lost their jobs due to layoffs.
To date, Jamkrindo has distributed a total of IDR 6.9 billion in COVID-19 relief funds, sourced from the Partnership and Community Development (PKBL) program as well as donations from the Board of Directors, Commissioners, and all Jamkrindo employees, given voluntarily.
“In addition to actively providing aid, Jamkrindo is also massively campaigning for the implementation of the 3M health protocols in daily life: wearing masks, maintaining distance, and washing hands. The initial donation of 300 N95 masks is just the first stage, and we will continue with further donations,” said Randi Anto.
This socialization effort has been carried out through the installation of 3M campaign billboards in Surabaya, Semarang, Makassar, and banners in several locations within the Ciletuh Geopark in Sukabumi. “We are also actively campaigning and socializing through social media,” Randi added.
Besides providing direct aid that benefits the community, Jamkrindo is also committed to supporting MSMEs to ensure they can withstand the challenges of the pandemic. This commitment is demonstrated through various strategic initiatives such as the distribution of partnership loans and assistance for MSMEs.
The provision of working capital loans through the partnership loans is expected to help stimulate the economy, especially for micro-entrepreneurs who are feasible but not bankable. "We remain committed to continuing this partnership program. This program aims to improve the capabilities of Jamkrindo’s fostered small businesses to become resilient and independent while providing a multiplier effect to improve the welfare of the community," said Randi Anto.
In terms of MSME assistance, in Sukabumi, Jamkrindo has provided hydroponic farming training for members of the Ciletuh Homestay Association to add value and educational facilities in the homestay area. Additionally, there is also training on mango processing for home-based business groups in Ciemas District, who are part of UKM Saluyu. Mango is one of the main commodities in Ciemas, with around 200 hectares of mango orchards producing hundreds of tons.
PT Jamkrindo is a guarantee company and currently a member of the Insurance and Guarantee Holding Group under PT Bahana Pembinaan Usaha Indonesia (Persero).
