Jamkrindo Participates in the Development of the UNU Campus

PT Jamkrindo has participated in the development of the Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama (UNU) Yogyakarta campus through a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program worth IDR 250 million. This CSR program, handed over on Wednesday (23/09/2020), is one of Jamkrindo's contributions to the education sector.

The President Director of PT Jamkrindo, Randi Anto, explained that through the handover of this CSR program for the construction of the UNU campus, Jamkrindo aims to contribute to improving the quality of human resources in the education sector. “One of the pillars of national development is human resources. We hope that the UNU campus will be able to produce quality human resources for Indonesia,” Randi said in a press statement on Wednesday.

The CSR assistance for the construction of the UNU campus was also provided by several other State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) through coordination by the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises. This collaboration of CSR programs is expected to expedite the campus construction process.

Symbolically, PT Jamkrindo’s CSR assistance was handed over by the Head of the Yogyakarta Branch, Akhmad Albaasithu, to the Rector of UNU, Prof. Purwo Santoso. Purwo Santoso expressed his gratitude for the CSR assistance from PT Jamkrindo.

Meanwhile, the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Chairman of the UNU Campus Construction Committee, Abdul Ghaffar, hoped that the assistance would facilitate the construction of the UNU campus. “We would like to express our gratitude and hope that in the future we can collaborate further with PT Jamkrindo to help develop a progressive Indonesia,” Ghaffar said.

PT Jamkrindo’s CSR assistance in the education sector has been provided in various locations and educational levels. This includes assistance for laboratories and educational needs at SMA Negeri 7 Kupang and the renovation of 8 elementary schools in the Ciletuh Palabuhanratu UNESCO Global Geopark area.

To stimulate other sectors, such as the economy, PT Jamkrindo is also actively distributing partnership programs for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and providing coaching for MSMEs in various regions of Indonesia. These partnership and MSME development programs have been provided to cashew farmers in Larantuka, East Nusa Tenggara; coffee farmers in Kintamani, Bali; coffee farmers and leather jacket artisans in Garut, West Java; MSMEs processing mango products; and homestay associations in the Ciletuh Geopark.
