PT Jaminan Kredit Indonesia (Jamkrindo) continues to support the National Economic Recovery (PEN) program, initiated by the government to bolster businesses affected by the pandemic. As of Friday, January 22, 2021, Jamkrindo, together with its subsidiary Jamkrindo Syariah, has guaranteed 564,823 working capital loan (KMK) debtors under the PEN scheme.

According to President Director Putrama Wahju Setyawan, Jamkrindo has realized guarantees amounting to IDR 9.34 trillion, with details as follows: Jamkrindo: IDR 6.70 trillion, Jamkrindo Syariah: IDR 2.64 trillion

The working capital credit aims to protect, sustain, and enhance the economic capacity of business players, particularly MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises). Putrama emphasized that this credit guarantee scheme is crucial in building banks' confidence in disbursing loans.

"To date, Jamkrindo has collaborated with various banking institutions to ensure the successful implementation of this program," Putrama stated in a press release on Monday, January 25, 2021.

The KMK MSME guarantee scheme is regulated under Minister of Finance Regulation 71/2020. The government has assigned Jamkrindo and Askrindo, both members of the Indonesia Financial Group (IFG) holding, to implement the PEN guarantee program while maintaining fiscal sustainability.

In addition to PEN guarantees, Jamkrindo remains committed to disbursing partnership loans to its fostered partners, particularly micro-businesses that lack access to banking services.

"We not only provide partnership loans but also assist MSMEs with mentoring and business development," Putrama added.

A notable community empowerment success story is Jamkrindo’s initiative in Ciletuh Palabuhanratu UNESCO Global Geopark, Sukabumi, West Java. In this region, Jamkrindo partnered with UKM Saluyu, a group consisting of former migrant workers (TKW) who have returned home to start local businesses.

Recognizing the potential of local mango production, Jamkrindo and UKM Saluyu developed mango-based processed products, such as mango chips, as a unique souvenir from Geopark Ciletuh.

To strengthen this initiative, Jamkrindo provided: Processing machines for mango-based products, Marketing and promotional training, Support for expanding sales networks.

This community-based economic model aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and will be replicated in other regions, including Garut and Larantuka (cashew farming community support).

As Indonesia’s largest credit guarantee company, Jamkrindo is a member of the Indonesia Financial Group (IFG) holding, under PT Bahana Pembinaan Usaha Indonesia (Persero). The company remains committed to ensuring financial accessibility and security for banking and non-banking financial institutions.

Through strategic financial guarantees and sustainable empowerment initiatives, Jamkrindo continues to play a crucial role in supporting Indonesia’s economic recovery and long-term resilience.
